Ellie laughed at that. "Was the akwardest thing when my brother came down and was like 'who the hell's singing and can you shut them up?!'," she recalled with a grin.

Alona giggled as she imagined the scene. "Well, at least she didn't try to jump off the window from the third floor," she said with a shrug, recalling a memory herself.

Ellie brought her hand up to her mouth, trying to hide her laugh. "Oh wow. I'm glad someone managed to stop you then. My first time I think I was at the harbour with some friends and they kept thinking I was going to dive in when I'd get close to the edge. They spent the night keeping me away..."

Alona nodded with a chuckle. "Yeah, seems like I wanted to see how it felt like to fly or something," she said with a small shrug. She laughed a bit at Ellie's story. "Well, were you actually going to dive in?" she asked.

"There's an easier way - jump onto a trampoline from the second floor. That way you sorta feel like flying. Or go wharf-jumping, that's fun," Ellie said with a laugh. She shook her head. "I'm not sure... I don't think so. I think I was just marvelling at all the pretty lights on the water..."

Ellie nodded, grinning. "Yes. We so must! It'll be awesome." She was really glad she'd met Alona and both surprised but happy at how fast she'd made friends. Friends had never been her strong point.

Alona smiled and nodded, as they entered the school. Right there, on the hallway, was exactly the person she didn't want to see that day: the Law teacher. She sighed, as he had already seen her, so she couldn't run back outside now.

Kieran looked up from some papers he was studying, to see Alona Andrews, one of his students, along with another girl he hadn't seen before. He had assumed that Alona had been sick or something like that and that was why she had skipped his class that day, but there she was, looking like there was nothing wrong with her. "Miss Andrews, look at that," he said, but in a scolding way. "Isn't Law class interesting enough for you anymore?"

Alona sighed as she looked up at him. "I'm sorry, Mr.Richards," she said. "My soccer coach wanted to keep me more today," she lied with a slight shrug.

Ellie blinked when she heard about Law class. So this was their professor. "Ooh, busted," she told Ava with a grin, then looked back at the teacher. He was quite attractive, a part of her brain told her but she ignored it. "Hi, I'm Ellie," she told him with a smile. "New girl on the block."

Kieran looked at Alona and chuckled slightly. "Should I ask the coach about this?" he asked teasingly. He was not going to get mad because one student had skipped his class once.

Then, he turned his eyes back to the new girl. "Nice to meet you," he said. "I am Kieran Richards, the Law teacher."

Alona wanted to tell him something else, but her phone alarm went off. "I'm sorry, I gotta head to my next class," she told the two. "I'll see you around Ellie." Then, she turned her eyes to the teacher. "Mr.Richards," she greeted with a nod, before passing by them.

Ellie smiled. "Awesome." She was kinda nervous about the lesson now that she'd met her teacher, but she took a breath and assured herself she'd be fine. After all, she'd read up on some stuff so she wasn't going to be completely thrown into the deep end. "How long have you been teaching?" she asked, half out of curiosity, half out of not wanting there to be an awkward silence.

Kieran took his books and papers and started to the auditorium, with the new girl by him. "Almost six years now," he replied. "Where have you been learning until know?" he asked.

Ellie smiled. "Nice. I bet you enjoy it since you've neither quit nor been in the headlines for murdering your students," she joked. When he asked where she'd been learning, she gave an awkward laugh. She hated this question. "At high-school. I um had to leave for a year, then came back and everyone was so impressed with my sudden studiousness they told me to apply for uni. And so here I am," she said with a grin.

Ellie ran a hand through her hair. "Don't think too much into it," she said with a slight chuckle. "People's brain's have been known to explode when told this, and I don't want to do that to my professor on the first day." Her smile became wider. "I'm super excited to be here. It's all just like...wow," she said with a slight laugh.
