Biography:
Ellie grew up in St. Petersburg, Russia, being the middle child of the family. She has a younger sister (13) and an older brother (24). Her father is a surgeon and her mum is a university professor (Faculty of Medicine). When Ellie was 5, the family moved to Chicago.
Ellie quickly picked up on English, becoming a total bookworm. From a young age she quickly became interested in languages, learning French until she fell in love with the German language in her teens. As she couldn't take it as a subject, she vowed to learn it when she went to university. Through her early teens she wanted to become a forensic scientist, but her science and maths grades held her back. During this forensic science obsession phase, she got into the CSI shows, earning herself the nickname 'Grissom' when she began to get into entomology.

She was a slightly rebellious child in her teens, running away twice. Her school-work suffered greatly and she was kicked out of high school for skipping class too much. However after a stint in full-time work, she realised that working at Subway was not something she wanted for a career and begged her way back into school. Her new determined energy helped her pass all her classes with top marks. Surprised at this new Ellie, her teachers suggested she apply into university early. To her family's surprise she was accepted and is now about to start her first year.
During high school she fell in love with a fellow student and went to live with him, only for him to start abusing her. This was when she started skipping class which led to her expulsion. She kept putting up with his behaviour until finally one day she fled back to her parent's place, surprised that they still accepted their baby with open arms after the stress she'd put them through. During her final year of school she had a long-distance relationship with a student who'd since moved out of Chicago. The relationship ended when he confessed to cheating on her. Since then she has had a problem being in a committed relationship. A little while later she got a girlfriend, but that ended in disaster also.


Ellie is very determined by nature - when she sets her mind to something she will stop at nothing to achieve it. This has caused many problems with her family as some of these 'goals' have not been the most beneficial (such as her will to leave home at an early age). She can be quite introverted, especially around strangers, but around her friends is usually very hyper and playful. She is very studious when she stops procrastinating and can spend hours absorbed in textbooks in the subjects she enjoys. She enjoys writing and hopes to get her current work-in-progress novel published at some point. Ellie can be cheeky and flirty at times, though often she mistakes the messages she is being sent and interprets them as something opposite. This is often the case when she's flirting with females and she has been known to mistake friendliness for something more, ending in total awkwardness from both parties. She is generally crazy and insane (in a good way) and loves to just hang out with friends and have fun, though she often has 'hermit' periods, where she becomes introverted and refuses to see people at all.
She loves dancing, horse-riding and fencing, but doesn't consider herself to be sporty. She plays guitar and is learning the drums, wanting to be the female Christophe Doom Schneider, her favourite drummer of all time. Her passion for guitar has made her friends joke about her being a female Richard Kruspe because of her immense love of Rammstein.
