A Weekend Under Stars [Ryan]

It was summer, the weather was awesomely warm and sunny and just perfect to spend as much time outside in the sun as possible.
It was the first day of a week long vacation at the uni and Julie was up at about 7:00 AM, packing the last things she would need into her backpack. Her and Ryan had decided to go hiking and camping for the weekend, starting on Saturday morning and coming back on Monday evening, so it would be two nights in a tent under the stars.
Juliette was a little nervous about this trip. She's never been camping again, after that trip when she was 7th grade. It was a looong time ago and now she was excited to go again, especially since it meant total alone time with her sweetheart.

And Julie had something special planned for them. She packed a small paper box into her backpack, hidden between a blanket and a set of clothes to change into. That box, so she was hoping, was being used this weekend. Well, not the box, but it's contents. She smiled a little, as she packed it away and then closed her backpack to wait for Ryan.

Ryan soon came by Julie's room to get her for the weekend trip. His car was outside, his stuff was in the trunk. Once at Julie's room, he knocked on the door, then waited. He was looking forward to this weekend with Julie, but didn't know of what she would ask him and of what she had planned to wear for him when they were in the tent.

Julie smiled when she head the knock on the door and grabbed her backpack. She wasn't a very glamourous girl, so she didn't take any make-up with her, which made her back quite less heavy. All she had, was that small paper box, with even smaller items to use, a set of clothes to change, a blanket, her cell phone and some other useful stuff like matches and a camera.
She walked up to the door, dressed in old jeans and a dark blue hoodie and hiking boots she bought a couple of months ago.
"Good morning." she greeted him with a happy smile when Julie opened the door.

Ryan smiled, then kissed her cheek. "Good morning my sweet" he replied. "Looks like your ready to go" Ryan commented after pulling back and looking at her. "Need any help getting anything to the car?" he asked while looking into her eyes as he asked Julie that.

Juliette, still a smile on her face, shook her head.
"Nope, thanks very much. I'm a big girl and can carry this myself." she replied in a light tone. She appreciated his guesture, though, but sometimes she was too much of a strong woman to accept it. Sometimes she simply wanted to do things on her own. "Gotta carry this later when hiking anyway."

Ryan nodded in reply, "Okay then" he replied in kind. "Lets be on our way." Ryan added, smiling a bit before turning to lead her out of the dorm and to his car.

Julie smiled in reply. She walked out of the dorm room and locked the door behind them. Currently she was living alone in the room. Given parts of her history before she moved to the dorm, the manager had respected her wish to be occupying a room alone for some time and maybe when she was ready to, she'd be glad to get some company.

At the same time, Ryan took Julie's hand in his as he walked her out to the car. Once there, he unlocked it and opened the trunk for her. His bag and the rest of the stuff they needed was in there.

With a small smile on her face, Julie followed him to the car and then put her bag into the trunk once he opened it for her. She was a little nervous about the weekend that they would spend together all by themselves with no one else around. But she was also happy about it, because it meant some serious quality time with her boyfriend and she was hoping that they would take the relationship to a whole new level, Julie ready to take a step she had been waiting for a long time to take. Now she believed it was a good time to take it, together with Ryan. She knew he was the one man she had been waiting for.

Once everything was in the car, Ryan opened the passenger door for Julie. He had a feeling they were going to take their relationship to the next level this weekend, something he would enjoy if that were to happen.

Julie couldn't help but smile, watching him getting the car door for her. He was such a gentleman, so much different from the guys she met before. But honestly not that much different from Michael, before he got all angry and started abusing her, something Julie truly believed he was sorry for. Something, that made him take his own life. What a loss it still had been, despite everything that happened. But Julie pushed that thought aside for now. She didn't want old memories to ruin her perfectly good weekend. Or she hoped it would turn out perfectly good. She looked up at Ryan, as she got into the car, giving him a sweet, yet mysterious smile. He didn't know what she had planned for him, if he was ready, too.
"Thank you very much." she said in a happy tone.

"You're welcome......my princess" Ryan said to her, smiling a bit at the same time. "Its great to see you happy Julie." he added before closing the trunk. "I love that smile of yours."

Julie smirked a little bit. "Well, as long as you don't keep that princess-thing up, I'm very content right here where I am. Next to you." she replied, not seriously mad at him, just reminding him that she actually didn't like to be called princess, although if he said it, it was kind of sweet and she knew how he meant it, but she still didn't like that nickname, no matter who called her that.

Ryan nodded in reply when Julie said that to him. "Deal" he said before kissing her on the cheek.

Julie smiled happily in reply. She loved Ryan, she really did, even if he called her his princess. If she thought about it, she actually didn't mind it that much anymore. It was kinda sweet, but somehow she still wouldn't get quite used to it. When she thought of the nickname princess she always pictured that annoying cheerleader captain from her High School: snotty, arogant and always getting what she wanted because she was a bitch if she didn't. And that was totally against everything Julie stood for and behaved like.

Shaking that thought to the back of her head, Julie thought about her plan for the weekend and how she hoped that Ryan would be okay with her decision. She knew that he wasn't religious and not bound to any rules, so why wouldn't he be okay? Even though she had thought she wouldn't do anything like it before her wedding, Julie had changed her mind. There were moments when she was tempted to give in and let herself get carried away, but it just never was the right moment. She didn't want to do that in her room in the dorm. She prefered a more private setting. Somewhere in a secluded spot on a blanket by the campfire, right under the stars, that was a childhood dream. Maybe that dream would come true?

A small smile came to her face and she even blushed a little as she thought about that.

Ryan watched Julie after he pulled back from kissing her cheek. He had the feeling that she was liking the fact that he called her his princess. Seeing the blush on her cheeks, he knew that she liked it. At the same time, he knew that she was nothing like the stuck up, nose in the air kind of woman who demanded that every one treat her like a princess but never showed respect to anyone.

"Your blushing Julie, something on your mind?" Ryan asked, not knowing about her dream. He knew that she wasn't a religious person like himself, but at the same time, he was aware of the fact that Julie wasn't a lose woman.

Julie turned her head to look at Ryan, being pulled out of her thoughts and blushed even more as she did.
Oh if he knew what was on her mind! But at the same time, she began to wonder how he would think about it, if he knew. Would he want it, too? Or would he have doubts about it? Juliette didn't want to tell him about it, yet. This wasn't the right time or place.
"Well... actually yeah... but you'll have to wait a little longer. Can't just come out and say it here and now." she finally replied.

Ryan nodded in reply when Julie said that to him. "Fair enough......gives me something to think about during the drive to the camp site." he replied before winking at her. He then walked over and opened the passenger door for her. "Your ride awaits Julie" he said to her, smiling a bit at the same time. As he watched her, he started to think about what could be on Julie's mind.

Julie smirked a little in reply, watching him from the passenger side.
"Well, don't forget to concentrate on driving while thinking about it." she teased him.
I wonder if he might figure it out....

Ryan nodded in reply when Julie said that. "I won't forget" he said to her as he drove. At the same time, he began to wounder what was on Julie's mind. He had a feeling that it had to do with what they were doing tonight.

Julie nodded a little in reply and then looked out the window and they were on their way out of the city. She hasn't been out of Chicago for a while now and she was actually looking forward to her time with Ryan. While they were planning their trip, Julie had picked a secluded place for their first night camp. Back then she did that on purpose, having this idea and this... dream in her head for a very long time now. But she never said anything about it.
While she looked out of the window, a slight smile appeared on her perfectly pale face. Thinking about her plans for tonight made her blush a little, but also made her heart jump.

Ryan glanced over to her as he drove. He had a feeling that she was thinking about what they were going to do tonight. Ryan wanted to ask what was on her mind, but he remember her telling him to wait. As he drove, Ryan reached over and gently took Julie's hand in his.

Julie turned her head and smiled at Ryan when he took her hand. She loved when he did that, just like she basically loved everything about him. For Julie, even though she was only 25, he was the one she wanted to spend her life with. She wanted to share everything with him. Her life, her love and she would start her own family with him. She wanted to. And that alone felt right enough to her. There wouldn't be another man in her life. Or would there be?
Even though Juliette wanted to say something, she chose not to. Now wasn't the time or place to say something this serious. And besides, she still had enough time left for that.

Ryan saw it when he glanced at her.  He loved Julie's smile and it made him happy to see her do that.  A while later, they got to the camp site.  After driving for a few more seconds, Ryan pulled into one of the empty sites and parked.  "Here we are" he said to Julie after shutting the car off.  "Just us and nature for the next several hours." Ryan added.  He kissed Julie's hand, then got out and walked to the back of the car, getting the tent out first after opening the trunk.

Juliette smiled to herself. She loved those little guestures, every single one of them. It was different then when she was with Michael. It made her feel special and... cherished. Wanted, yet respectfully so.  Not that Michael ever pushed her in any way, but it still was different. She felt safe again.

A small sigh escaped her lips as she thought of her late ex-boyfriend and how things had ended with him taking his own life, because he couldn't live with what he had done to her and what his mother pushed him to do. He never blamed her in his letter. Not once. Juliette never wanted it to end that way. Deep down in her heart she still loved him, she always would. He was her first love after all. She looked at things differently now.

Looking around the place they would be staying at, Julie smiled again. "I'm gonna love it here." she told Ryan before he got out of the car. "Nothing and nobody to disturb us, except for some shy animals."

With that said, Julie got out of the car, too and followed Ryan to the trunk. She wasn't going to let him do all the work. Where's the fun with that? Nope, she was going to get her hands dirty if need be.
